Depths of Hell Chapter 1: Part 2 The two hiked down the hallway. After nearly half an hour, they arrived in a large domed chamber. Inside were five pillars, though only three stood, spaced around a five sided pit. In the center sat a small rise with a pedestal at the top. Covering the floor of the dome were piles of bits of rubble, many obviously old equipment used for archeological excavations. Faded mosaic tiles shown through a path through the rubble toward a tent between the two fallen pillars.
"What is this place?" Nova asked.

Depths of Hell Chapter 1: Part 1 Throughout time and before memory, civilizations have risen and fallen; leaving behind their bones in decaying ruins. These ancient ruins are called the Underground and have been slowly mapped out by a group called dwelvers.
Two of these individuals forged through one ruin; a short and stocky daemon, and young human named Nova. The daemon's name was Kur, and he had a long nose and large, yellow slitted eyes. I was not her father. I had entered her life when she was two years old, and she called me Daddy since she never knew her real father. Her mother's death two years ago made me the sole, living parent of an eleven-year-old, and I never felt like I was the right person for the job.
